Here's something a bit different. You are looking straight down the the inside of the 60 foot-long base section of a high-voltage line tower. The halo effect is caused by sunlight coming in at the other end. Not every picture from the park is a display of nature.
The power company is replacing all the 50-year-old "erector set" towers with new mono-towers, and the power lines run right through the park - far from the campground, but down by the boat ramp - so they are using park roads for access.
I grabbed this and a few other interesting images on a Sunday when the construction site was closed.
